Both the Sustainable Development Goals and the Convention on the Rights of the Child incorporate it. Child protection applies to all children worldwide, regardless of their financial situation.

A world free from violence, exploitation, abuse, neglect, and harmful behaviors is the goal of the UNICEF Child Protection Strategy.
